Our long rides are seeming shorter
We left at Quy Nhom after a quick breakfast at Barbara's which we had tried to find last night. We happened to pass looking for another breakfast spot. They had moved 6 months ago. A bit difficult to find the road as we wanted to start on the road that goes along the coast. Yesterday we were in the A1 the whole way. Very beautiful switch back road with great view of the sea, a few beach towns along the way. Today everyone was drying their hay along the side of the road (why today?) so their were a few times when we needed the side lane and had some crazy merging went 180km with a few keg stretching breaks and made it to Ba Ho Springs- 4km up a very rough off road path. We hiked up alongside a stream coming from a waterfall over huge boulders. The climb was actually real rock climbing in places. There were several places you could jump into pools. Piers did one which was. 39-40 feet. My photo skills were lacking and I captured it on video, bit still. The place was very busy with Vietnamese- maybe because it was a their national holiday. Anyhow- Piers had put the St. Christopher medal we are both wearing (patron saint of travelers) in his shoe. Someone must have seen him do this because it was missing when he out his shoes on. I was filming him and the shoes were in my sight but I was looking at him. An annoying end to a fun adventure. Another 20km into Nha Trang. It was now 330pm and we had not eaten all day so we went to a place we read about with real meat- as we have not had much this week.
