Ho chi Minh city through the Mekong Delta to Can Tho

Early start at 645 for the 170km. It was not an easy route and from the start getting out of the city was a bit of a challenge. There had been some heavy rains last night and parts of the road were flooded so all the motorbikes are constantly swerving around the puddles. The only joy of the road today was that most of the travel was on divided roads so we did not have traffic coming straight at us. About 25 minutes into the journey we arrived at a toll booth (motorcycles just stay to the right and never pay), and there was no motorcycle lane.... Apparently no bikes allowed on that road.... We turned around.... I'm not sure what I had envisioned but the scenery of the Mekong Delta was not as breath taking as the rest of our travels. We crossed the river and it's canals about 100 times and went over some massive bridges. I had no idea the river and delta were both one of the world's largest. 4hrs45 min later we arrives and quickly took off our riding gear in search of lunch as neither of us were hungry this morning for breakfast.
