Chez Carole

We ended up at an exquisite place called Chez Carole. Definitely top notch- why they stay open we don't understand. We are the only guests. The tv and Internet are turned off and many buildings all open air are not in use. The water sports equipment is all stored away. They immediately asked what time we wanted dinner, and breakfast and when we would leave tomorrow..... Never asked for our passports (first time the while trip) or to pay in advance (about 50% of the time). As we were only paying 37% of the rack rate, we could ignore the fact that we did not have all the usual amenities the hotel offered. We were both exhausted as exemplifies by the fact that after dinner at 630pm, Piers was asleep at 8pm and I caught up on the blog for 30 min. We work up 11 hours later.
