Dinner with Mr. Son

Last night we were taken out to dinner with the General Manager of Paradise Cruises, Mr. Son. He had told Piers he would be in Ho Chi Minh City at the companies offices fir a few days and if the timing worked out (as we had no idea when we would get here) that we might get together. He took us to an amazing Restaurant. We felt guilty as he ordered 8 dishes- all which were amazing- and we obviously had way too much food. For desert we shared a bottle of fresh sour cherry juice (green in color) which you pour over ice and add honey as desired. It was no surprise to learn that the owner of the restaurant was an architect as the place was a renovated old villa- rustic and elegant at the same time- in a tucked away location that you would never fine unless you were in the know. Truly memorable.
